FAQ’s

Q: Are reservations required?

A: While we (highly) encourage you to reserve so we can prepare accordingly, you are welcome to join us even if you haven’t RSVP’d.

Q: Do I need to pay for ticket or membership?

A: There is no charge for seats or yearly membership dues. Village Synagogue offers High Holiday services at no charge to the community. While there is no charge for seats, a donation is deeply appreciated. Your support allows us to continue to offer these and other opportunities for Jewish education and experience throughout the year. Please consider the suggested donation of $100 per adult and $50 per child and young adult or consider being a High Holiday superstar with a High Holiday sponsorship.

Q: I’ve Paid For a Reservation. Do I need to bring a ticket?

A: If you have paid for a reservation, you will receive an email confirmation and will be placed on the reserved list. There is no need to bring a confirmation to synagogue.

Q: What is the difference between 'Primary Service' and 'Full Service'?

A: The full service is from 9:00am - 1:00pm. If you feel that is too long and plan to only attend for an hour or two - then 11:15am is the time we recommend coming.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?

A: No. We will provide everything for a meaningful experience, including a Hebrew & English Machzor-prayer book, reading materials, a drink station (on Rosh Hashana), and a Community Rosh Hashana Lunch post services.

Q: Is there an age limit for services?

A: Service is for anyone interested in a meaningful and spiritual prayer experience. Every age level and the whole family is welcome!

Q: Is the program child-friendly?

A: We have a dynamic children’s program running throughout services with prayer, games, edible crafts, warm and nurturing staff members, and the customary Holiday foods for snacks and drink! Our children will be brought into the service for the shofar blowing and the main part of the prayers - they will also be having a prayer circle as part of their children’s service with their own Kids Machzor - High Holiday Prayerbook. Please Reserve Here!

Q: What customs will the service follow?

A: The Village High Holiday services follow traditional customs in a welcoming, non-judgmental, all inclusive atmosphere.  At the Village we welcome Jews from every walk of life. This service is for anyone looking for a relevant, easy-to-follow, spiritually uplifting High Holiday experience.

Q: What will the security be like?

Armed security will be securing the Village for all high holiday services and programming.
