BAR MITZVAH ACADEMY
THE BAR MITZVAH ACADEMY
A Whole New View of Bar Mitzvah
An experience in Jewish identity, character, leadership, and responsibility.
Becoming Bar Mitzvah is about so much more than preparing for a ceremony. It's about discovering who you are, understanding what it means to be a Jewish man, and recognizing the responsibility and potential you carry.
The Village's Bar Mitzvah Academy is an engaging eight-month journey designed for boys preparing for their Bar Mitzvah. Through meaningful Jewish learning, hands-on experiences, friendships, and community involvement, boys will explore their Jewish identity, develop strong values, and gain a deeper appreciation for their Jewish heritage.
Throughout the year, our boys will explore what it means to become a mensch, make good choices, take responsibility, stand up for what they believe in, and use their unique strengths to make a difference in the world.
But this is far more than a classroom experience!
Our Bar Mitzvah boys will participate in interactive workshops, exciting outings, Jewish holiday experiences, a hands-on tefillin workshop, community service projects, and meaningful opportunities to give back. They'll build friendships, enjoy a special Family Shabbat dinner, and celebrate their journey together at an end-of-year family celebration.
Most importantly, they'll discover that becoming Bar Mitzvah isn't simply about turning 13. It's about beginning to take ownership of their Jewish lives and the kind of people they want to become.
